anito ng naglakbay
Anito ng Naglakbay is a series of clay vessels that emerge from my practice as a manghihilot, medical intuitive, and psychic surgeon. Each figure is born from the intimate, unseen landscapes of healing sessions—acts of care that tend to grief, reclaim ancestral strength, and transmute intergenerational pain. These anito are not only containers for sorrow and transformation; they are newly formed deities and energies shaped in response to the specific needs of those I serve.
Guided by the spirits and stories of my clients, these sculptural beings support journeys through ancestral reconnection, the healing of the intergenerational womb, and the reclamation of voice. Some arise from the ashes of past lives marked by domestic violence and patriarchal silencing; others grow from the quiet power of those finding language, breath, and sovereignty for the first time. Anito ng Naglakbay honors the ongoing passage of spirit through body, clay, and lineage—an offering to those on the path of remembering and becoming.
